Say Hello to Google Platform Properties: A Massive Win for Creators
This is one of the coolest google search updates if you create content.
Until now, if you publish on social or video, you've had no real way to see how much of your audience finds you through Google Search. Well, they just fixed that!
It's called platform properties, and it lives inside Search Console.

You connect your Instagram, TikTok, X or YouTube account and get the same search data you'd get for a website: the queries people used to find you, the clicks and impressions each post earned, and which posts performed best over the last 28 days.
Once connected, you get three reports: Performance (clicks, impressions and queries, filterable and exportable) Insights (trends, top posts, how people discover you) Achievements (growth milestones)
Setup takes a couple of minutes.
Open Search Console, choose add property, pick your platform, authorize. Google is rolling these out over the coming weeks, so if your platform isn't there yet, it should be soon.
The queries are what I love the most.
Likes and comments just show you people who already follow you. What I actually want to know is what someone typed into Google right before they landed on my stuff.
Say I've got a two year old video that people keep finding by searching how to price a web design project. That's a green light to make more on pricing.
